KGI is an internet service provider. KGI is NOT using the same frequency as cell phone companies or connected to cell phones in any way. KGI has our own licensed frequency.
We are constantly acquiring towers and expanding our service. Please check the Counties Served section or the home page banner. If you are still unsure, please give us a call at 540-709-7070 ext 1 for Residential and ext 3 for business.
No. KGI does not limit the amount of data you can use each month. In addition, KGI does not slow speeds (throttle) after using a lot of data. KGI offers unlimited data and no throttling!
KGI has two agreement types: two-year contract and month-to-month. The two-year contract locks in the price for two years and also gives a $5 discount.

The only way to ensure your service with KGI remains great is to use KGI's compatible router. These routers work with the antenna to ensure reliability and stability. In addition, when KGI has an update, it automatically updates the KGI router. If an additional router is desired, KGI asks that it is plugged into the KGI router. This will ensure updates continue and your service will remain secure inside of our firewall.
KGI receives an alarm the moment a customer's internet is down. This allows us to immediately respond and fix the issue, as well as update the router.
For security measures, KGI reboots and updates the system Friday evening into Saturday morning. In the rare case that your CPE is not responding, unplug it. Wait 10 seconds and plug back in. Wait a few minutes and the system should reboot itself. If it is still not responding, email us at support@kgicomm.com to open a ticket. You may also email a maintenance request ticket inside your KGI customer portal. KGI has engineers on call to handle your issue.
